Doji Seiyami was an artisan of the Crane Clan.
Gakka Province[]
During the struggle between the Scorpion and Lion Clans for the control of the Gakka province, Seiyami was advised by her sensei Hiruma Renzo that the Scorpion rikugunshokan, Bayushi Kiwadoi, had a spy near the Lion commander, who passed to her the Lion plans. Seiyami goaded Kiwadoi at court, and in the ensuing duel the Scorpion general was killed by Seiyami's champion, her own cousin and a recently graduated kenshinzen. Rumors told that Doji Seiyami was a secret ally of the Lion ambassador Ikoma Jun, perhaps even that the two were lovers. [1]
Betrothed and Lion Defeat[]
Kidawoi's twin brother, Bayushi Konitsu, took command of the Scorpion forces. He chose to be betrothed to Seiyami. [2] The Lion had stormed a temple and killed the Scorpion Command Staff to a man, and action which had tainted themselves with dishonor in order to achieve mere temporal victory on the field. Some requested Akodo Unmei's seppuku for his actions, but he refused. Ikoma Jun, as political leader of the Lion efforts, gave up all rights to the captured domain. [3]
