Doji Kuzume was the Emerald Champion who in 268 [1] refused to follow the order of Emperor Hantei Ningi to execute Togashi Kaze. Kuzume committed seppuku, but the Emperor merely eleveated the Lion Clan Champion Matsu Noshin to the position as Emerald Champion and Kaze was executed anyway. [2] [3]
