Doji Daisetsu was the Crane Clan Champion [1] and the Emerald Champion during the second rise of Iuchiban. [2]
Second Rise of Iuchiban[]
After Iuchiban's spirit had been captured, Ryoko Owari Toshi was still in the hands of his lieutenant, the infamous Jama Suru. Daisetsu appointed the ronin Reichin in an impossible mission, to sabotage bloodspeaker's defenses. [2]

Reichin dislodged Suru's defenses for several weeks, gaining time for Daisetsu, who assembled the combined armies of the Great Clans and marched toward the city. After seven days of battle the city was released, but Suru had already escaped. The brave bushi ronin nearly died when he took an arrow meant for Daisetsu, and the Hare Clan was created for his bravery. [3]
