Doji Chuto was a general of the Crane Clan. He politically outmaneuvered the Akodo Lord of Toshi Ranbo, who left the city. Chuto claimed the castle and the Crane Clan Champion Doji Satsume rewarded him with command over the castle and surrounding lands. The Akodo daimyo who had controlled the city committed seppuku in shame. Rumors of blackmail by the Crane general spread, but they were never confirmed. [1]
