Divination tried to read the future, and numerous traditions in Rokugan purported to be able to unlock the future's mysteries. The Seppun onmyōji claimed to be able to read it from the stars, while there were those in Dragon lands who looked to the ash marks upon the shoulder bones of oxen cast into the fire to see the future's course.
