The Day of the Wasp archers of any clan competed against both one another and the members of the Wasp Clan. Qualifiers competed with Tsuruchi himself, and he chose up to a maximum of ten competitors to receive formal Wasp training, joining the Clan's ranks if they could survive the training period. [1] Those winners who later failed became part of a larger group of ronin and mercenaries that the Wasp hired to guard the walls of Kyuden Ashinagabachi. [2]
