Ruins of Otosan Uchi[]
In 1165 Iemitsu had been patrolled the Ruins of Otosan Uchi when they met more than thirty oni. He and two fellows fled with an oni pursuing them. A group of Lion's Pride commanded by Matsu Aoiko killed the demon. Aoiko and Akodo Yobi were sent to scout the enemy forces. [4]
Tainted[]
Seppun Jin and Chuda Masaru had been opened a portal to Jigoku and many demons were raised in the Ruined City, being cornered the Lion and ronin forces. Many Yotsu were lost, killed or tainted in the Battle in the Ruined City. [5] Iemitsu was one of them. [3]
Spider Clan[]
Iemitsu and his warriors emblazoned with the Spider mon killed the bandits that had attacked a village. [6] Daigotsu arranged for this convenient timing by hiring the bandits to do the attack, then moved in and slaughtered them to gain favor with the heimin, as a way to infiltritate the Empire. [citation needed]
Stance[]
Iemitsu mastered the Lion in Wait stance, an older style that was no longer in favor in many modern dojo. It was powerful and deadly, but had weaknesses. [7]
Test of the Emerald Champion - 1169[]
In 1169 Iemitsu and Daigotsu Eiya entered the Test of the Emerald Champion, disguised as a ronin of the Hare village of Kudo, sponsored by the ailing Otomo Kotone and with his letter of entry stamped with a Yotsu chop. Iemitsu wished to become championship and ordered Eiya to kill anyone who appeared to be a threat. Kakita Noritoshi, the Kakita Daimyo, became the main target. [8] [9] While there, he became the enemy of the ronin Utagawa. Utagawa guessed his true nature and defeated him in combat, exploiting the weakness of his stance, although Iemitsu survived and fled. [7] Eiya also failed, during his test against Noritoshi. Iemitsu evaded the Jade Magistrates during two months until he was able to return with Daigotsu. [10]
