Iuchi Hyotaru was a shugenja of the Unicorn Clan who became a Bloodspeaker.
Second Rise of Iuchiban[]
Hyotaru was reviled as a madman who betrayed his kin and joined the forces of Iuchiban during the Bloodspeaker's second assault upon the Empire, and became Jama Suru's personal advisor. [1]
Fallen[]
Hyotaru did not recognize the ronin Reichin as a legitimate threat, and as a consequence Jama Suru lost control over the city of Ryoko Owari. Hyotaru was punished before Suru left, binding the Iuchi's tormented spirit in a large stone on the outskirts of the city. [1]
After Death[]
After learning the legend of Hyotaru from an interrogated Bloodspeaker prisoner, In the 12th century Daigotsu freed the spirit of Hyotaru, who allied with the Dark Lord as Daigotsu Hyotaru to exact vengeance upon the Bloodspeakers. [1]
