Daidoji Katsutomo was a seasoned bushi and taisa of the Crane Clan who lived in Tsukareru Sencha Mura, in a tiny island, separated from the Aerie by 45 chō of water. During the Mantis-Crane War in the Colonies, Katsumoto displayed a profound hate for the Mantis. In 1198 he hosted Kakita Ichigiku, a student of his old friend Kakita Kazan. When the Mantis invaded the island Katsumoto commanded the defenders until an arrow fired by Tsuruchi Nariko killed him. [1]
