D.G. Laderoute was a member of the Story Team in the Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game, published by Fantasy Flight Games. He was formerly Brand Lead in the Legend of the Five Rings when it was published by Alderac Entertainment Group, from 2013 to 2016. David Laderoute played his first game of the CCG in 1997. He have written extensively for the 4th Edition RPG, such as the Scorpion chapter in Great Clans, the Nothing chapter in Enemies of the Empire, the Imperial Families in Secrets of the Empire and The War of Spirits chapter in Imperial Histories. He was also Editor of the Imperial Herald for AEG for about 2 years, and was the last AEG Brand Manager for L5R, heading-up the "Clan Path" stuff for as long as it went on, and then handled a lot of the sale of the IP to FFG.
