Crimson Lotus was a poison which caused intense pain a few hours past its ingestion. The only antidote was more Crimson Lotus, making it a choice between a life of suffering or a permanent addiction. Supposedly, the Crimson Lotus had been used by blackmailers when other methods had failed. The flower from which it was made grew only by a small lake somewhere in Unicorn lands. [1]
