Chuda Yoharu was the son of Isawa Chuda. When his father was hunting maho-tsukai, he and his mother, Chuda Reiko, were attacked by a maho cult. His mother in desperation had used maho to save them and upon seeing his wife's corruption, Isawa Chuda retired to a monastery. Yoharu became daimyo at the death of his father, and his reign was long and uneventful. The Snake Clan became known throughout the Empire as skilled shugenja and some Chuda served as yoriki to Imperial magistrates. However, his mother's curiosity of the occult lead the Snake Clan deeper into maho. [1]
