Chiriyo was a local gang leader, and Hokoryu was one of his lieutenants. They were chased by Morito Tsuchide, who stormed a gambling house owned by Chiriyo, defeating the ronin enforced Ijio. She questioned the innkeeper Uzume about his patron, who told her everything he knew. [1]
