Chikuzen was a town which sat at the shadow of Kyotei Castle in the Kintani Valley. The town laid along a merchant's road between Otosan Uchi and Toshi Ranbo, strategically located between Lion, Crane, and Phoenix lands. Its ownership changed from Lion to Crane in 1103, when the Damasu family were slaughtered to a man by the Tsume Daimyō Tsume Retsu. [1]
