Chikata was a budoka in the remote village of Mushi Mura, under the command of yoriki Takashi. They were ambushed by a Bloodspeaker cell led by Shinroku, who overwhelmed them. The only surviving budokas, Akane, Boku and Chikata, followed Takashi into hiding. They had been tainted during the fight. The village was eventually recovered with the aid of a group of samurai. [1]
