Chieftain was the leader of a Nezumi tribe, a title equal to daimyo or sometimes Champion. The Nezumi equivalent of Emperor was Chief of Chiefs. [1]

Selection of a Chieftain Edit

The chief was chosen by a combination of wisdom, skill, and popularity. When the chief no longer seemed to be doing a good job, the tribe stopped listening and elected someone else. The best chiefs maintained their position by listening to the tribe, and subtly convincing others that their own ideas were best. [2]
