Butaro was a ronin bandit who in 1172 stayed in an evacuated village during the Destroyer War. He saw a chance to claim the wealth left behind by those who fled, despite he feared the Destroyers which were advancing in the area. He was met by Kakita Kensho-in, who convinced him to act as a hero defending the village. He joined three other individuals like him, and the group attacked two Destroyers. He supposedly died in the confrontation. [2]
