Bushi was the Rokugani term for warrior, [1] those samurai who trained their martial skill. [2] Their lords might give them tasks suited to yōjimbō, guards, soldiers, magistrates, executioners, or generals. [3] Trained in precision and perseverance, armed with the best equipment available, and honed in battle, an experienced bushi was a dangerous opponent even when outnumbered or caught off guard. [4] [5] Bushi were expected to march to war with any frequency, to defend their homes or claim lands in the name of their lord. [6]
Creation of Bushi Schools[]
