Bryan Reese began to play L5R in 1995 with Imperial Edition and bought a Phoenix starter. He decided to go to L5R as his primary game around Gold Edition, only playing Unicorn. To the end of Lotus Edition, he had won 5 Koteis, 1 World Championship, and numerous storyline tournaments, and a playtester. Bryan Reese joined the PDT in July 2006 with Khan's Defiance, as the start of Samurai Edition, which was the revival L5R.
In 2007 Brent Keith moved onto new projects with AEG and Bryan Reese took over as Lead Designer in August of 2007. [1]
In 2015 FFG took over the L5R IP, announcing it shall evolve in a Living Card Game.
