The Book of the Five Rings was a thick volume, marked with the symbols of the five elements. It contained the legacy of Rosoku, the descendant of Shinsei. In 1166 it was found by a pair of bloodspeakers, Shukumei and its master. After killing them it was retrieved by Asahina Sekawa, who became the Keeper of the Five Rings. [1] [2]
