Benin was an eta whose duties included cleaning the Kaiu Wall. After one battle Benin saved the life of the Crab Clan Champion Hida O-Ushi from an oni using the katana of a fallen samurai. Although Hida Tsuru and Hida Tadashiro wanted to kill Benin as per Rokugani law O-Ushi spared his life, saying that all on the wall would be dead in 100 days, anyway. [1]
