The Baraunghar Ghost Guard were shugenja of the Baraunghar who were in the fray of the battle with their comrades. They were dressed in white robes and had white-painted faces. They cast spells to aid their companions or grant the blessings of the Shi-Tien Yen-Wang to their opponents. They used to be trained in mounted archery. They were a new school during the Khan's Defiance and they were not with the bulk of the Baraunghar who suffered a heavy toll in the Battle of Toshi Ranbo. [1]
