Asako Bashi in the late 12th century was the lord of Kyuden Kankei, the estates of the Nasu family, a vassal family of the Shiba. He was one of the surviving minions of the Lying Darkness. [1]

Bashi had a son who betrothed with Shiba Fukada's sister, children of two his servants that had fought during the War of the Twins. The girl and her brother had seen the true nature of Bashi by happenstance when they were children. Before they could get married, the samurai-ko was found dead by seppuku in one of the castle's waiting rooms in the year 1196. Bashi died in less than two years. [1]
