Asako Akari was a maiden of the Phoenix Clan who married as Ikoma Akari to Ikoma Anakazu, the Ikoma Daimyo. The couple bore a daughter. [1]
Rebuked[]
Her marriage was dissolved as part of a peace treaty brokered between the Lion and the Unicorn Clan, which would allow Anakazu to marry to Shinjo Altansarnai, the Unicorn Clan Champion. Akari moved with her daughter to Unicorn lands in order to commit jigai before her husband's new bride in protest of the arranged political wedding. She was uncovered by Utaku Kamoko, who brought Akari to Altansarnai's presence. The Unicorn Champion learned about her story, and eventually decided to refuse to marry Anakazu, and dismissed Akari. Reunited[]
In the Month of Ryoshun the Lion Clan Champion Matsu Tsuko reversed the couple's divorce, and the family reunited. [2]
