Akodo Yasuke was a bushi of the Lion Clan. He lived a good and honorable life. so he would be considered a candidate for ascension to Yomi, the Realm of Sacred Ancestors, after his death. Due to a bureaucratic foul-up, his deceased soul was matched with the wrong paperwork in Meido and had been sent to the incorrect realm. A group of samurai commissioned by Lady Mazoku, an agent of Emma-Ō, found Yasuke and accompanied him to Yomi. [1]
