Akodo Kage was a sensei of the Lion Clan.

Sensei

Akodo Toturi

One of Kage's students was Akodo Toturi, who sought his counsel for difficult matters even after Toturi was elevated as the Lion Clan Champion.

Kyūden Kitsune

Kage and his yōjimbō Akihiro moved to Kyūden Kitsune, to the court of Kitsune Gohei, where he brought up the idea that the Fox Clan should be dissolved, and the Kitsune reunited with the Unicorn Clan. Kage expected to entice someone in his court do something stupid, giving the Lion something they could claim as a pretext for attacking the Fox Clan. The aged sensei was eventually outmanouvered by Doji Kuzunobu, husband to the Crane Champion Doji Hotaru, who pointed such view as criticizing the Emperor, because the Fox Clan had been founded by Imperial Decree.

Imperial Court

Kage was appointed in the Imperial Court, alongside Matsu Hiroru, and the newly arrived Kitsu Motso. Ikoma Ujiaki, the Ambassador at court, was dismissed by the new Imperial Regent Kakita Yoshi, after their confrontation when Yoshi ordered the Lion to remove their troops from Crane and Unicorn territory.
