Akodo Hitsuko was a duelist of the Lion Clan and sensei of the Hundred Stances Dojo.
Duelist[]
Hitsuko was trained by Akodo Kentsu in the secretive Dojo of a Hundred Stances. She defeated a Crane in a kenjutsu duel at the Imperial Winter Court, and Hitsuko was soon manipulated by Crane courtiers, and thus the world learned of the Hundred Stances dojo. Many more duels were fought, particularly by Hitsuko, but nonetheless the truth surfaced bit by bit. Other clans began to claim the teachings of the dojo, a new edge for their kenjutsu training. [1]
Sensei[]
A conflict between several Great Clans for the control of the dojo was put to an end throuh Imperial arbitration. Seppun Akentsu placed the Hundred Stances Dojo under direct Imperial administration. He also established a kenjutsu tournament to decide the champion of Dojo, whose clan would have first access to its teachings, but could be challenged at any time, ensuring that only the worthiest swordsman would ever be sensei of the dojo. Hitsuko won the tournament and became the dojo's sensei, agreeing to let students from all of the clans study under her leadership. As the sensei of the Dojo she retained primary access to the texts and favored the Lion Clan with her knowledge. [2]
