Tonbo Akari joined the Emma-O Seido in the Naishou Province as the nun Akari after her husband passed away. Patient and respectful, she eventually became the abbess of the temple. She had come prepared to dedicate herself to Emma-O, the Fortune of Death, while many other new sisters came simply to grieve, too burdened with Regret to go on with their lives. [1]
