A Crane Takes Flight was a sculpture carved by one of the Crane's most masterful sculptors at about the time the Unicorn Clan returned to Rokugan, in the 9th century. It was placed at Kyūden Doji until it was sold in 1123 to fund the military expenses of hiring mercenaries during the skirmishes around the city of Toshi Ranbo. [1]
